Karen Suzuki

Based in her studio in Glasgow's east end, Karen hand stitches textile animal-themed objects that are anthropomorphic and toy-like in character. The work is spontaneously and vigorously made, using the raw qualities of the fabrics and thread to create characters that are lively and often humorous. She also makes pigeons which are directly inspired by those seen in garden and urban settings.
