a little about Morag Macpherson in our GNCCF showcase

Morag Macpherson exhibits her wearable art all over the world, she also collaborates with interior designers, architects and fashion designers, so it’s fantastic that we could include her work in this years showcase.

Morag’s garments are the perfect choice to coincide with our Unpicking Couture exhibition which focuses on the artistry and craft of couture fashion.

Her textiles are an interesting mix of original designs, eco-printed and naturally dyed, repurposed, and upcycled into Patchworked Stories. She creates ‘artwear’ in the form of kimono robes, coats and skirt and limited edition scarves and cushions.

For the showcase we’ve selected a couple of showstoppers in the form of a Kimono style robe and jacket and a wonderful selection of scarves. All the pieces are limited edition digitally printed silk.
