a little about DeeLyn Design in our GNCCF showcase
Being a city center gallery, we are always excited by artists and makers who embrace the urban. Liverpool based jewellery designer DeeLyn’s work does just that by taking inspiration from day-to-day city life.
Influenced by the architecture and geometry of the urban environment, DeeLyn creates small sculptures that are then adapted into wearable structures. And though designed from the built environment they have something of the celestial about them.
Her pieces are mainly created in eco recycled sterling silver using traditional silversmithing techniques. Excitingly she leans towards the unconventional enjoying a final twist.
It’s great to work with a designer who isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of conventional materials and our selection for the showcase includes gold plated brass, stainless steel, and pumice stone. And in her own words she ‘creates structural bold jewellery for unconventional people who like to express themselves without saying a word’
