These functional pieces are created using different hand building techniques, the clay takes on a life of its own and the process of making becomes more instinctual and meditative. The decoration is a result of experimenting with texture, coloured slips, oxides and dry glazes to accentuate the surface. With a background in ceramic sculpture Tammy has recently returned to making ceramics using a range of hand building techniques. Inspired particularly by the natural world Tammy works with clay experimenting with texture and decoration.
