The ubiquitous Brown Betty teapots date back to the 1700s; one of the most popular pieces from the Staffordshire pottery industry, at their peak in 1926 over half a million were made every week!

Cauldon Ceramics is the last remaining manufacturer of the original Brown Betty teapot. Working with them, ceramicist Ian McIntyre has re-engineered this British icon, keeping its classic good looks and Rockingham glaze but adding modern useful features including:

  • Non drip spout
  • Removable infuser for loose leaf tea
  • Locking lid
  • Stain free glaze

It's so good we had to get one for the Manchester Art Gallery Collection, making this an official work of art!
