‘Everything is 100% handmade, hand shaping the clay and blending unique colours, using handmade tools to work on a small scale-including a tiny razor blade. The idea behind the colours came from oil paint colours, ochre, crimson, off-white chalk and soft, slate grey. Combining the matt clay and glossy enamel, and contrasting the colours to make the jewellery tactile and distinctive.’Victoria is a self taught designer based in Manchester utilising traditional artisan techniques.
